The charge per hour is $120; this is the same for assessments and also treatment time.  For a 45-minute treatment session, the cost is $100.  A full hour is recommended for an assessment.  If you require a report from your assessment, there is typically an additional charge of $20 (brief) or $50 (full report).

Some parents have benefits through their work that cover the cost of assessment and therapy.  Benefit plans usually cover up to a set maximum per year.  Some reimburse the full amount per session up to this maximum, while others cover a certain percentage of each session's fee.  At the time of the session, you will be provided with a receipt which you can submit to your insurance in order to claim the fees you have paid.  This form has all information required by your insurance, including my College registration number (i.e. license number with the College of Audiologists & Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario).

President's Choice Children's Charity grants funds to children who are in significant need of speech-language therapy.  There are forms you can download from their website and fill out to apply for this funding.  The foundation grants money based on children's need for treatment and also on families' financial situation.
